I have a server with ubuntu 12.04LTS.

In my interfaces file in /etc/network I have:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.100
netmask 255.255.255.0
broadcast 192.168.1.255
gateway 192.168.1.1

And I am getting an error that says:

RTNETLINK answers: No such process

when I run sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart. And I can connect the the internet from the server and I can't connect to the server from any other computer on the network.

What can I do to fix it?
