Can't connect Xbox One to hotel wifi

Date Published: 11/23/2013 5:57 AM

The system specs are the new Xbox one console. I am trying to get it to connect to the wifi at the hotel we are staying. It won't load the screen (that is a web page) where you would enter the password. I don't have hotspot authorized on my iphone or I would just tether it to the Internet that way. Other than jail breaking the iPhone, (which I'm not above doing but not sure if I'm knowledgeable enough to do it), then using it as a hotspot to connect the console, is there some other way I could get the Xbox one connected to the Internet? I have a laptop running windows 7 and a network cable, an iPhone and an iPad 2. There are no places to plug in a network cable anywhere in the room. I tried running the network cable from the laptop to the console and using the laptop as a router, but I'm doing it wrong because it didn't work. Im not knowledgeable enough to know why that didn't work. I though it would. I can post the error message the console gives me, but that will be a little later. It's nearly 3am and I've been fighting this for a few hours, so I gotta sleep. I'll be back on after I sleep. Any help at all that gets me online would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if it matters but this is the I soles initial set up. If everyone thinks it'd be best to wait until I get home roster it up, I can, I just didn't want to
