Internet Explorer 11 crashes on Windows 8.1 x 64

Date Published: 11/17/2013 3:40 PM

I cannot get my computer to load Internet Explorer 11 without shutting it down. I can't get to the program loaded stage. It Just gives me two messages each time.

1. Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working - Windows is checking for a solution to this problem.

then before anything else happens another window opens and the following message appears.

2. Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if  a solution is available.

Then the program closes. Every time I try to start the program the same thing happens.

Can I uninstall IE 11 and then re-install it? If so, How? I can run other browsers like Chrome without any problems.

I am running Windows 8.1 on a 64 bit system and have 12 GB of memory.

I have done everything that was proposed by Your Microsoft Support Engineer for the answer to

Internet Explorer 11 crashes on Windows 8.1 x64, and nothing helped.
