Unable to log into Ubuntu after 13.10 upgrade

I am unable to log into my Ubuntu session after upgrading to 13.10. I am able to log into the Gnome session just fine. When I log into my Ubuntu session, a window with a message appears, too quickly for me to read, disappears and I'm back on the log in screen. I noticed that my .xsession-errors looks like:

Script for ibus started at run_im.

Script for auto started at run_im.

Script for default started at run_im.

Thanks in advance!
